I am trying to determine if a black magic curse has been placed on me.
This is based on an astrology article I am reading which is full of conjectures such as:

For all movable signs the 11th house therefrom is the badhaka sthana. For all fixed signs the 9th therefrom are their badhakasthana, and for all the dual signs the 7th therefrom are their badkasthanas.

So first I need to determine the badhakasthana of my sign. In order to do that I need to know my sign. I am using sidereal calculations to determine the signs. I have an ascendant sign, sun sign, and moon sign, but since the article is not clear on which sign to use, I calculate the badhakasthana for all three.

The fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius.
The movable signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn.
The dual signs are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces.

So the badhakasthana for my Ascendant (1st house), which is Leo, is Aries (9th house). The badhakasthana for my sun sign, Sagittarius, is Gemini (11th house), and the badhakasthana for my moon sign (11th house) is Sagittarius (5th house).

Thus the badhakasthana is the 9th house according to the Ascendant sign. From here we move on…the reading further says:

When 9th lord and 7th lord happens to be the badhakesh for fixed lagan signs, that is(vrish, simh, vrishchik, kumbh), and dual lagan signs(mithun, kanya, dhanu, meena) respectively, then badhakesh should not be conjucted or aspected by a malefic planet(functional, naisargik), neither in the navamsa and lagan chart. Also should not be placed in 6th/12th/8th houses…..

Thus, since Aries is the ruler of the 9th house in my chart, and the ruling planet for Aries is Mars, Mars will be the badhakesh. In my natal chart Mars is in the 6th house, or at least it seems that way.

Just sheer life cannot be said to have purpose, because look at all the different purposes it has all over the place. But each incarnation, you might say, has a potentiality, and the mission of life is to live that potentiality. How do you do it? My answer is, “Follow your bliss.” There’s something inside you that knows when you’re in the center, that knows when you’re on the beam or off the beam. And if you get off the beam to earn money, you’ve lost your life. And if you stay in the center and don’t get any money, you still have your bliss. —Joe Campbell

…Ultimately all diseases are mental; all are caused by willfulness, that perversion of common sense
that makes us do what we are not supposed to do. This willful perversity is [an] “offense against wisdom”
-Dr. Svoboda from Prakriti: Your Ayurvedic Constitution

It does sound really good, but is it true? All diseases are caused willingly?
Weird. Nietzsche was yapping all about will to power.
The will might be something of an override position; essentially mind over matter.
I can convince myself to go running when my being doesn’t want to, or
I can keep myself from drinking when my body is aching for a beer, or I can
rob a bank even though it makes me very nervous and don’t really need the money.
Thus, it seems like willing can be good or bad depending on the circumstance.
I tend to believe that stress is causing many diseases in the world today.
This stress is manufactured by modern society to a large extent, but also
competitive human nature; over-achieving.
The body is saying, “No! no!, I’m not in the mood’, but the will says, ‘just do it.’
This leads to a disease state. The risk-reward mechanism. Over-thinking
leads to a lack of proper breathing, to lack of oxygen, to disease. Over-exerting
the body in a similar manner.
Money and time are like drugs for the will.
So yes, I agree. In general, all diseases are caused by willfulness.
