I am trying to determine if a black magic curse has been placed on me.
This is based on an astrology article I am reading which is full of conjectures such as:

For all movable signs the 11th house therefrom is the badhaka sthana. For all fixed signs the 9th therefrom are their badhakasthana, and for all the dual signs the 7th therefrom are their badkasthanas.

So first I need to determine the badhakasthana of my sign. In order to do that I need to know my sign. I am using sidereal calculations to determine the signs. I have an ascendant sign, sun sign, and moon sign, but since the article is not clear on which sign to use, I calculate the badhakasthana for all three.

The fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius.
The movable signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn.
The dual signs are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces.

So the badhakasthana for my Ascendant (1st house), which is Leo, is Aries (9th house). The badhakasthana for my sun sign, Sagittarius, is Gemini (11th house), and the badhakasthana for my moon sign (11th house) is Sagittarius (5th house).

Thus the badhakasthana is the 9th house according to the Ascendant sign. From here we move on…the reading further says:

When 9th lord and 7th lord happens to be the badhakesh for fixed lagan signs, that is(vrish,simh,vrishchik,kumbh), and dual lagan signs(mithun,kanya,dhanu,meena) respectively, then badhakesh should not be conjucted or aspected by a malefic planet(functional,naisargik), neither in the navamsa and lagan chart. Also should not be placed in 6th/12th/8th houses…..

Thus, since Aries is the ruler of the 9th house in my chart, and the ruling planet for Aries is Mars, Mars will be the badhakesh. In my natal chart Mars is in the 6th house, or at least it seems that way.
